How do you turn a thousand updates into one brief a team actually reads?
Thousand daily updates → one standing brief for a 10-person team
The problem
A foodtech-focused PE firm's ten-person team had deal flow, portfolio activity, and competitor movement arriving from every direction, more volume than anyone could triage alone, with no shared way to tell which update actually mattered today.
What I did
Defined what counted as signal for this specific portfolio instead of generic market news. Built a scoring layer that filters noise before it reaches the team, then delivered it as one standing brief the whole team reads together, instead of a dashboard people had to remember to check.
Outcomes
What I learned
Cutting volume mattered more than speeding delivery up.
The actual work was editorial judgement: deciding what didn't need to reach anyone.
