How do you build a CEO an AI workforce that actually holds?

Hundred small extractions → one dedicated agent each

The problem

A public company CEO's time wasn't disappearing into big decisions. It was leaking into the hundred small extractions that come before one: dig through this report, summarise that call, draft the first pass of everything. A single assistant trying to cover all of that just becomes one more thing to manage.

What I did

Mapped where the hours actually went, not where he assumed they went. Built one agent per job (research, synthesis, meeting prep, drafting), each wired directly into the tools he already used. The requirement: the system had to run without hand-holding through a day that changes every 20 minutes. Now expanding the same architecture company-wide.

Outcomes

4
dedicated agents in daily use
Company-wide
rollout now underway

What I learned

Most of what ate his day was never actually his job: research, synthesis, first drafts. That's what the agents took over.

One agent per job outperformed one assistant trying to do everything.

The hard part was behavioural design, figuring out what he'd trust enough to stop double-checking.
